Master Tuvan throatsinger and a former member of the Tuvan Parliament. Born in 1962, he is considered a living treasure by the Republic of Tuva.
In the United States, he is best known for his role in the documentary Genghis Blues, in which he plays host to the American blues musician Paul Pena whom he has invited to Tuva to compete in the throat singing contest.
Ondar is currently musical director to the Tuvan ensemble Alash.
