Translation

Our Native Land.

M. Il’in

We love our native land.

We love its borderless, vast, lush steppes and valleys, its high, lush forests and mountain forests and strong and mighty mountains, its water-filled rivers, its towns, and its kolxoz’s.

However far its every corner may be from us, it is near and dear to us.

As for our native land – it is one large family of Sovet nations who are establishing a new, enlightened existence.

Millions of Sovet people are working persistently all day on the earth, in the earth, on the seas and lakes and rivers, in the water and in the air, on the dry steppes of the south and the tundra’s of the north.

In the front lines of that army, we are seeing the bolsheviks who march as a whole forwards whenever, wherever – the true soldiers of the revolution.

And so in front of them all, in the soldierly duty, as the front troups of the workers’ class – is the communist party.

According to a unitary plan, in the country thousands of factories have been established and are being established, maps have been restructured, the streams of rivers have been changed, dry steppes have been brought to life, seas have been joined, and the many agricultural plots that were mutually divided have now been unified into lushly planted fields of mighty kolkhoz’s.

All this has come to embody the thought and concern of the great communist party.
