Cool. BTW, shouldn't "ïr yätpäs qoďunnug män" be "ïr d'ätpäs qoďunnug män" (is d' like ž)? Like how Jungar Tuvan uses this sound in place where Standard Tuvan uses a č (where is Kara Kol?). --Sborsody 08:18, 28 March 2008 (PDT)

Yes, it should, but Radloff writes y-; apparently it is a characteristic of this dialect (also e.g. sarï instead of sarïg). I added the pictures for clarity. The j with the come above it (I used d' for lack of anything better) represents a a kind of dj- like sound, that corresponds with the standard Tuvan č, apparently also dialectal. I will add the special words to the lexicon later. Unfortunately I haven't figured out where Kara Köl is. It may be a pretty generic name. Maybe it is nice to upload a bit of Radloff's travelogue, but it is in German. Apparently the Tuvans had a bad reputation, among the Altay that is. Thanks for reducing the pictures!
