I have a wild thought: what if we made a seperate NAMESPACE for Tuvan words. (See Meta for what NAMESPACEs are.) Then we could seperate out all the lexical stuff and there would be pages like O in the main area. There could be individual pages for words and we wouldn't have to worry about adding them to a list, they would just be there. Words could be links. There would be "wanted pages" to show when we don't have a word yet. What do other people think? Robert 10:55, 23 September 2006 (PDT)

I'm not sure I understand what the purpose would be. It is probably more practical to have an online dictionary that can be queried from this wiki. I have the beginnings of one that works from a UNIX command line... --Sborsody 10:06, 25 September 2006 (PDT)
What are the chances of this (or something else) becoming an online resource anytime soon? I have The Tuvan Manual and Let's Learn Tuvan so I want to find a Tuvan dictionary! There's a lot here and I just think we could try to be the online Tuvan lexicon, to help draw people in and be interested in Tuva in general. Robert 21:55, 25 September 2006 (PDT)
The chances are 100%, but the speed at which I work is slow, I'm sorry to say. I'm still learning Perl, which is the language I'm programming this in, so no web interface to it yet. Have you seen http://tuvan.swarthmore.edu ? That is some online implementation of the K. David Harrison dictionary (who teaches at swarthmore). The search capabilities are somewhat limited and do not satisfy my requirements, but it could give you a hand at least. --Sborsody 22:29, 25 September 2006 (PDT)
