Copyrighted song lyrics
I'd like to post some traditional song lyrics as arranged by Huun Huur Tu in the liner notes to their latest CD. Would this be an unacceptable copyright violation? --Nisan 17:39, 6 March 2006 (PST)
- Altai Sayan Tandy-Uula? Some of them are already here. For Kojamyk look at Tos. For Tandym look at Toorugtug taiga. Kongurai is Koŋgurej. Lyrics from traditional songs are not copyrighted. --Sborsody 18:29, 6 March 2006 (PST)
Why aren't we making a Tuvan language area to Wikipedia? (ie tv.wikipedia.org)? There would still be lots of content for this site (lyrics, language lessons, lexicon). I'm sure lots of Tyva-Dyl speakers haven't heard of this site, but they could be ought translating Wikipedia articles. It seems to me that we ought to be more concerned with our community (Tuvan Enthusiasts).
- There is no tyv.wikipedia.org yet because there haven't been found any interested native speakers yet. If you know of any we can go from there. --Sborsody 15:00, 28 April 2006 (PDT)
Since there is no TyvaWiki:Copyright, I thought I'd better ask what the copyright status of TyvaWiki is. I see that you removed GPL or whatever, but I'm not sure where that leaves us. I think that means, since we haven't specificed to give away any rights, there we're fully copyrighted, right? Maybe there is some license at Creative Commons that could meet our requirements?
